Junior Elementary — School Calendar 2026-27

Seniors will participate in this annual event focused on preparing for life after high school through hands-on experiences, real-world scenarios, and valuable information about adulthood, careers, finances, and personal responsibility.

Join us as we kick off the year with the GEAR UP Tailgate! Students and families are invited to enjoy an evening of fun, information, and school spirit while learning about the opportunities and resources available through the GEAR UP program. WCHS Football vs. St. Mary's

Homecoming Spirit Week begins! Students and staff are encouraged to participate in today's theme and show their Highlander pride as we celebrate Homecoming Week.

Join us under the Friday night lights as the Highlanders take on Summers County in this year's Homecoming Football Game! Come out and support our students, celebrate Homecoming, and show your Highlander pride.

The Webster County High School Local School Improvement Council (LSIC) will meet at the Webster County Board of Education. Community members, parents, staff, and stakeholders are encouraged to attend and learn more about school programs, initiatives, and improvement efforts.

The WCHS Health Science Program is partnering with the American Red Cross to host a Blood Drive. Students, staff, and community members are encouraged to donate and help make a difference in the lives of patients in need.

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is now open. All seniors are encouraged to complete the FAFSA as soon as possible to maximize eligibility for federal, state, and institutional financial aid opportunities for college, career training, and post-secondary education.

Students will be dismissed at 1:30 PM.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to attend Parent-Teacher Conferences to discuss student progress, academic performance, and ways to support success throughout the school year. We look forward to partnering with families to help every student achieve their goals.

Join us for Track or Treat at 6:00 PM on the WCHS track! Families are invited to enjoy a fun and safe evening of trick-or-treating, games, and community spirit. Costumes are encouraged, and we look forward to seeing everyone for this festive fall tradition.

The Highlander Showband will travel to Washington, D.C. to participate in the Veterans Day Parade, representing Webster County High School with pride while honoring the service and sacrifice of our nation's veterans.

Join us as we celebrate the Class of 2027 during Senior Decision Day! Seniors will be recognized for their post-graduation plans, including college enrollment, workforce entry, military service, apprenticeships, and other career pathways. We are proud of their accomplishments and excited for their next chapter.

Graduating seniors will participate in the WCHS Graduation Walk, visiting Webster County schools in their caps and gowns as younger students and staff celebrate their accomplishments. This tradition honors our graduates while inspiring future Highlanders to pursue their goals and dreams.
