About AutoCal

What is AutoCal?

AutoCal is a calendar subscription service built for US families. We turn school schedules, holidays, sports seasons, and community events into live calendar feeds that sync directly to Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, or Outlook. One subscription keeps every date in your household up to date, automatically.

Who is behind AutoCal?

AutoCal is built and operated by AutoCal Data Inc., a small team focused on one problem: keeping family calendars accurate without anyone having to re-type dates from PDFs and school websites. We build the data pipeline, maintain the parsers, and answer every email ourselves. You can reach us any time at hello@autocaldata.com.

Where does the data come from?

We pull calendar data from official school district websites, the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), and state Department of Education pages. Our crawlers also read structured feeds published through school CMS platforms such as Apptegy, Finalsite, and Edlio. Every source is a public, authoritative record of what a school or district has posted.

How does verification work?

An automated pipeline visits each calendar page on a regular schedule, extracts event details, and validates dates against the published academic year. Daily freshness checks flag any feed that no longer carries current-year events so it gets re-extracted instead of going quietly stale. This pipeline currently covers more than 100,000 US schools across 11,000+ districts. For a full breakdown of our sources, parsers, and freshness checks, see how we collect and verify calendar data.

Corrections and feedback

If a date in one of our feeds looks wrong, or your district is missing, email hello@autocaldata.com. We re-check the official source and fix the feed -- corrections from parents and school staff make the data better for everyone.
